Barangay Mabini

Barangay Mabini is a very small barangay in the municipality of Casiguran, located in the province of Sorsogon, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mabini had a population of 483. This made it the 25th largest of 25 barangays in Casiguran by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabini accounted for approximately 1.36% of the total population of Casiguran, which stood at 35,602 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mabini moving from 448 residents to 483 residents, an intercensal change of +7.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mabini as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Casiguran is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabini, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
