Barangay 7 (Pob.)

Barangay 7 (Pob.) forms part of Casiguran, a municipality in Aurora, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 7 (Pob.) had a population of 438. This made it the 21st largest of 24 barangays in Casiguran by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 7 (Pob.) changed from 288 to 438, a shift of +52.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Casiguran. Barangay 7 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Casiguran is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 7 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aurora, which contains 151 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay 7 (Pob.) ranks 140th by 2020 population. Like every Philippine barangay, Barangay 7 (Pob.) is led by an elected Punong Barangay (barangay captain) supported by seven Sangguniang Barangay members (kagawads), an SK Chairperson, a Barangay Secretary, and a Barangay Treasurer. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
