Barangay Caburacan

Barangay Caburacan is a small barangay in the municipality of Castilla, located in the province of Sorsogon, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Caburacan had a population of 909. This made it the 26th largest of 34 barangays in Castilla by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Caburacan accounted for approximately 1.50% of the total population of Castilla, which stood at 60,635 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Caburacan moving from 817 residents to 909 residents, an intercensal change of +11.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Caburacan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
