Barangay Camalanda-an

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Camalanda-an is one of the administrative divisions of Cauayan in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Camalanda-an had a population of 5,169. This made it the 9th largest of 25 barangays in Cauayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camalanda-an accounted for approximately 4.76% of the total population of Cauayan, which stood at 108,480 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,724 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,169 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Camalanda-an as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
