Barangay Camindangan

Situated in Cauayan, Negros Occidental, Barangay Camindangan is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Camindangan had a population of 2,655. This made it the 16th largest of 25 barangays in Cauayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camindangan accounted for approximately 2.45% of the total population of Cauayan, which stood at 108,480 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,365 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,655 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Camindangan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
