Barangay Concepcion (Pob.)

Barangay Concepcion (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Cervantes, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Concepcion (Pob.) had a population of 2,041. This made it the 5th largest of 13 barangays in Cervantes by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Concepcion (Pob.) accounted for approximately 10.49% of the total population of Cervantes, which stood at 19,449 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,791 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,041 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Concepcion (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
