Barangay Langkiwa

Classified as a very large barangay, Barangay Langkiwa is one of the administrative divisions of City of Biñan in Laguna, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Langkiwa had a population of 39,526. This made it the 2nd largest of 24 barangays in City of Biñan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Langkiwa accounted for approximately 9.70% of the total population of City of Biñan, which stood at 407,437 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Langkiwa changed from 37,817 to 39,526, a shift of +4.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Biñan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Langkiwa as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Biñan is a city comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Langkiwa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Langkiwa ranks 8th by 2020 population.
