Barangay Soro-soro

Barangay Soro-soro is a large barangay in the city of City of Biñan, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Soro-soro had a population of 7,189. This made it the 15th largest of 24 barangays in City of Biñan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Soro-soro accounted for approximately 1.76% of the total population of City of Biñan, which stood at 407,437 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Soro-soro changed from 6,320 to 7,189, a shift of +13.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Biñan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Soro-soro as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Biñan is a city comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Soro-soro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Soro-soro ranks 110th by 2020 population.
