Barangay Purok B (Pob.)

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Purok B (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of City of Borongan in Eastern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Purok B (Pob.) had a population of 1,546. This made it the 15th largest of 61 barangays in City of Borongan by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Purok B (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.15% of the total population of City of Borongan, which stood at 71,961 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,667 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,546 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Purok B (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Borongan is a city comprising 61 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Purok B (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
