Barangay Sabang South

Situated in City of Borongan, Eastern Samar, Barangay Sabang South is one of 61 barangays that make up the city within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 11th largest of 61 barangays in City of Borongan by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sabang South changed from 1,852 to 2,044, a shift of +10.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Borongan. Barangay Sabang South is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Borongan is a city comprising 61 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sabang South, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
