Barangay Banaybanay

Classified as a very large barangay, Barangay Banaybanay is one of the administrative divisions of City of Cabuyao in Laguna, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Banaybanay had a population of 34,260. This made it the 5th largest of 18 barangays in City of Cabuyao by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Banaybanay accounted for approximately 9.64% of the total population of City of Cabuyao, which stood at 355,330 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Banaybanay changed from 30,197 to 34,260, a shift of +13.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Cabuyao. Barangay Banaybanay is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Cabuyao is a city comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Banaybanay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Banaybanay ranks 16th by 2020 population. Barangay Banaybanay is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
