Barangay Mamatid

Barangay Mamatid is a mega-barangay in the city of City of Cabuyao, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mamatid had a population of 61,085. This made it the 1st largest of 18 barangays in City of Cabuyao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Mamatid accounted for approximately 17.19% of the total population of City of Cabuyao, which stood at 355,330 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mamatid changed from 55,803 to 61,085, a shift of +9.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Cabuyao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mamatid as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Cabuyao is a city comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mamatid, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Mamatid ranks 1st by 2020 population. Laguna is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Mamatid is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
