Barangay Panubigan

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Panubigan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Canlaon in Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Panubigan had a population of 7,681. This made it the 2nd largest of 12 barangays in City of Canlaon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Panubigan accounted for approximately 13.06% of the total population of City of Canlaon, which stood at 58,822 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 6,768 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 7,681 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Panubigan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Canlaon is a city comprising 12 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Panubigan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Oriental, which contains 557 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Panubigan ranks 15th by 2020 population.
