Barangay Calmay

Situated in City of Dagupan, Pangasinan, Barangay Calmay is one of 31 barangays that make up the city within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calmay had a population of 5,906. This made it the 9th largest of 31 barangays in City of Dagupan by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Calmay accounted for approximately 3.39% of the total population of City of Dagupan, which stood at 174,302 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 6,972 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,906 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -15.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calmay as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Dagupan is a city comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calmay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Calmay ranks 46th by 2020 population.
