Barangay Bagting (Pob.)

Situated in City of Dapitan, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Bagting (Pob.) is one of 50 barangays that make up the city within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagting (Pob.) had a population of 1,019. This made it the 38th largest of 50 barangays in City of Dapitan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Bagting (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.20% of the total population of City of Dapitan, which stood at 85,202 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,215 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,019 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -16.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Bagting (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
