Barangay San Roque

Barangay San Roque is a small barangay in the city of City of Digos, located in the province of Davao Del Sur, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Roque had a population of 1,659. This made it the 22nd largest of 26 barangays in City of Digos by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay San Roque accounted for approximately 0.88% of the total population of City of Digos, which stood at 188,376 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Roque changed from 1,172 to 1,659, a shift of +41.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Digos. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Roque as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Digos is a city comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Roque, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
