Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.)

Classified as a very large barangay, Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of City of Digos in Davao Del Sur, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) had a population of 16,942. This made it the 5th largest of 26 barangays in City of Digos by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 8.99% of the total population of City of Digos, which stood at 188,376 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 15,023 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 16,942 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Digos is a city comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao Del Sur, which contains 414 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) ranks 5th by 2020 population. Davao Del Sur is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
