Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.)

Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.) is a very large barangay in the city of City of Digos, located in the province of Davao Del Sur, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.) had a population of 18,068. This made it the 3rd largest of 26 barangays in City of Digos by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 9.59% of the total population of City of Digos, which stood at 188,376 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.) changed from 17,885 to 18,068, a shift of +1.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in City of Digos. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Digos is a city comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao Del Sur, which contains 414 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.) ranks 3rd by 2020 population. Davao Del Sur is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Like every Philippine barangay, Barangay Zone 3 (Pob.) is led by an elected Punong Barangay (barangay captain) supported by seven Sangguniang Barangay members (kagawads), an SK Chairperson, a Barangay Secretary, and a Barangay Treasurer. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
