Barangay Gulayon

Situated in City of Dipolog, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Gulayon is one of 21 barangays that make up the city within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Gulayon had a population of 7,896. This made it the 8th largest of 21 barangays in City of Dipolog by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Gulayon accounted for approximately 5.72% of the total population of City of Dipolog, which stood at 138,141 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 7,359 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 7,896 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Gulayon is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Dipolog is a city comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Gulayon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
