Barangay Binaguiohan

Barangay Binaguiohan is a mid-sized barangay in the city of City of Escalante, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Binaguiohan had a population of 2,346. This made it the 16th largest of 21 barangays in City of Escalante by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Binaguiohan accounted for approximately 2.44% of the total population of City of Escalante, which stood at 96,159 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Binaguiohan moving from 2,455 residents to 2,346 residents, an intercensal change of -4.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Binaguiohan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
