Barangay Capitulangan

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Capitulangan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Gingoog in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Capitulangan had a population of 464. This made it the 62nd largest of 79 barangays in City of Gingoog by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Capitulangan accounted for approximately 0.34% of the total population of City of Gingoog, which stood at 136,698 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Capitulangan moving from 410 residents to 464 residents, an intercensal change of +13.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Capitulangan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
