Barangay Mimbuntong

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Mimbuntong is one of the administrative divisions of City of Gingoog in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mimbuntong had a population of 615. This made it the 55th largest of 79 barangays in City of Gingoog by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Mimbuntong accounted for approximately 0.45% of the total population of City of Gingoog, which stood at 136,698 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mimbuntong changed from 589 to 615, a shift of +4.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Gingoog. Barangay Mimbuntong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Gingoog is a city comprising 79 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mimbuntong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
