Barangay San Juan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay San Juan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Gingoog in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Juan had a population of 4,896. This made it the 6th largest of 79 barangays in City of Gingoog by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay San Juan accounted for approximately 3.58% of the total population of City of Gingoog, which stood at 136,698 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,977 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,896 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +23.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Juan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Gingoog is a city comprising 79 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Juan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Misamis Oriental, which contains 504 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Juan ranks 40th by 2020 population. The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
