Barangay San Luis

Barangay San Luis forms part of City of Gingoog, a city in Misamis Oriental, and is classified as a large barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Luis had a population of 7,185. This made it the 2nd largest of 79 barangays in City of Gingoog by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay San Luis accounted for approximately 5.26% of the total population of City of Gingoog, which stood at 136,698 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 5,286 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 7,185 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +35.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Luis is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Gingoog is a city comprising 79 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Luis, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
