This made it the 20th largest of 97 barangays in City of Imus by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Anabu I-A accounted for approximately 1.26% of the total population of City of Imus, which stood at 496,794 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 7,206 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 6,264 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Anabu I-A as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
