Barangay 1 (Pob.)

Barangay 1 (Pob.) is a large barangay in the City of Kabankalan, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 1 (Pob.) had a population of 6,259. This made it the 14th largest of 32 barangays in City of Kabankalan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay 1 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.13% of the total population of City of Kabankalan, which stood at 200,198 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 1 (Pob.) changed from 5,919 to 6,259, a shift of +5.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Kabankalan. Barangay 1 (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
