Barangay Camansi

Barangay Camansi is a large barangay in the City of Kabankalan, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Camansi had a population of 8,059. This made it the 11th largest of 32 barangays in City of Kabankalan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Camansi accounted for approximately 4.03% of the total population of City of Kabankalan, which stood at 200,198 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 7,738 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 8,059 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Camansi is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Kabankalan is a city comprising 32 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Camansi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Camansi ranks 78th by 2020 population.
