Situated in City of Koronadal, South Cotabato, Barangay Morales is one of 27 barangays that make up the city within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Morales had a population of 9,133. This made it the 7th largest of 27 barangays in City of Koronadal by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Morales accounted for approximately 4.67% of the total population of City of Koronadal, which stood at 195,398 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 8,656 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 9,133 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Morales as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Koronadal is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Morales, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of South Cotabato, which contains 225 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Morales ranks 20th by 2020 population.
