Barangay Violeta forms part of City of Malaybalay, a city in Bukidnon, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Violeta had a population of 2,269. This made it the 28th largest of 46 barangays in City of Malaybalay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. The barangay recorded 2,199 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,269 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.2%, consistent with a growing settlement.
