Barangay New Malitbog

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay New Malitbog is one of the administrative divisions of City of Panabo in Davao Del Norte, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay New Malitbog had a population of 4,236. This made it the 15th largest of 40 barangays in City of Panabo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay New Malitbog accounted for approximately 2.02% of the total population of City of Panabo, which stood at 209,230 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,276 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,236 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +29.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay New Malitbog is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Panabo is a city comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay New Malitbog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
