Barangay Ayuyan

Situated in City of Passi, Iloilo, Barangay Ayuyan is one of 51 barangays that make up the city within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ayuyan had a population of 753. This made it the 40th largest of 51 barangays in City of Passi by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Ayuyan accounted for approximately 0.85% of the total population of City of Passi, which stood at 88,873 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 729 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 753 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Ayuyan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Passi is a city comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ayuyan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
