Barangay Bagonbon

Barangay Bagonbon is a large barangay in the City of San Carlos, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagonbon had a population of 5,784. This made it the 11th largest of 18 barangays in City of San Carlos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Bagonbon accounted for approximately 4.36% of the total population of City of San Carlos, which stood at 132,650 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bagonbon changed from 5,150 to 5,784, a shift of +12.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of San Carlos. Barangay Bagonbon is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of San Carlos is a city comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagonbon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
