Barangay II (Pob.)

Situated in City of San Carlos, Negros Occidental, Barangay II (Pob.) is one of 18 barangays that make up the city within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay II (Pob.) had a population of 6,488. This made it the 9th largest of 18 barangays in City of San Carlos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay II (Pob.) accounted for approximately 4.89% of the total population of City of San Carlos, which stood at 132,650 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 7,033 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 6,488 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay II (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of San Carlos is a city comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay II (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay II (Pob.) ranks 126th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
