Barangay Calomboyan

Barangay Calomboyan is a mid-sized barangay in the City of San Carlos, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calomboyan had a population of 3,887. This made it the 14th largest of 86 barangays in City of San Carlos by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Calomboyan accounted for approximately 1.89% of the total population of City of San Carlos, which stood at 205,424 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,514 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,887 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Calomboyan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of San Carlos is a city comprising 86 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calomboyan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Calomboyan ranks 165th by 2020 population. Barangay Calomboyan is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
