Barangay Ilang

Barangay Ilang is a small barangay in the city of City of San Carlos, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ilang had a population of 1,381. This made it the 69th largest of 86 barangays in City of San Carlos by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Ilang accounted for approximately 0.67% of the total population of City of San Carlos, which stood at 205,424 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ilang moving from 1,226 residents to 1,381 residents, an intercensal change of +12.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ilang as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of San Carlos is a city comprising 86 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ilang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ilang ranks 954th by 2020 population.
