Barangay Parayao

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Parayao is one of the administrative divisions of City of San Carlos in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Parayao had a population of 1,189. This made it the 73rd largest of 86 barangays in City of San Carlos by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Parayao accounted for approximately 0.58% of the total population of City of San Carlos, which stood at 205,424 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Parayao moving from 934 residents to 1,189 residents, an intercensal change of +27.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Parayao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
