Barangay Tayambani

Barangay Tayambani is a small barangay in the city of City of San Carlos, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tayambani had a population of 1,491. This made it the 66th largest of 86 barangays in City of San Carlos by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Tayambani accounted for approximately 0.73% of the total population of City of San Carlos, which stood at 205,424 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tayambani changed from 1,540 to 1,491, a shift of -3.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of San Carlos. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tayambani as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of San Carlos is a city comprising 86 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tayambani, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
