Barangay Cabadiangan

Barangay Cabadiangan forms part of City of Sipalay, a city in Negros Occidental, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabadiangan had a population of 4,460. This made it the 8th largest of 17 barangays in City of Sipalay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Cabadiangan accounted for approximately 6.16% of the total population of City of Sipalay, which stood at 72,448 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,849 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,460 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +15.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Cabadiangan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Sipalay is a city comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabadiangan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Barangay Cabadiangan is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
