Barangay Pawa

Situated in City of Tabaco, Albay, Barangay Pawa is one of 47 barangays that make up the city within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pawa had a population of 4,505. This made it the 11th largest of 47 barangays in City of Tabaco by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Pawa accounted for approximately 3.20% of the total population of City of Tabaco, which stood at 140,961 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pawa changed from 4,248 to 4,505, a shift of +6.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Tabaco. Barangay Pawa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tabaco is a city comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pawa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pawa ranks 49th by 2020 population.
