Barangay Pinagbobong

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Pinagbobong is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tabaco in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pinagbobong had a population of 3,300. This made it the 19th largest of 47 barangays in City of Tabaco by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Pinagbobong accounted for approximately 2.34% of the total population of City of Tabaco, which stood at 140,961 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pinagbobong changed from 2,992 to 3,300, a shift of +10.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Tabaco. Barangay Pinagbobong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tabaco is a city comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pinagbobong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pinagbobong ranks 109th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
