Barangay San Lorenzo

Barangay San Lorenzo forms part of City of Tabaco, a city in Albay, and is classified as a large barangay.

This made it the 1st largest of 47 barangays in City of Tabaco by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay San Lorenzo accounted for approximately 5.76% of the total population of City of Tabaco, which stood at 140,961 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 7,892 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 8,117 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Lorenzo is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Tabaco is a city comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Lorenzo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Lorenzo ranks 5th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
