Barangay Lacnog

Situated in City of Tabuk, Kalinga, Barangay Lacnog is one of 43 barangays that make up the city within CAR.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lacnog had a population of 3,515. This made it the 10th largest of 43 barangays in City of Tabuk by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Lacnog accounted for approximately 2.90% of the total population of City of Tabuk, which stood at 121,033 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lacnog changed from 4,420 to 3,515, a shift of -20.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Tabuk. Barangay Lacnog is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tabuk is a city comprising 43 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lacnog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Kalinga, which contains 153 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Lacnog ranks 10th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
