Barangay Masablang

Barangay Masablang forms part of City of Tabuk, a city in Kalinga, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Masablang had a population of 1,085. This made it the 36th largest of 43 barangays in City of Tabuk by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Masablang accounted for approximately 0.90% of the total population of City of Tabuk, which stood at 121,033 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Masablang moving from 988 residents to 1,085 residents, an intercensal change of +9.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Masablang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tabuk is a city comprising 43 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Masablang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
