Barangay San Juan

Situated in City of Tabuk, Kalinga, Barangay San Juan is one of 43 barangays that make up the city within CAR.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Juan had a population of 3,233. This made it the 12th largest of 43 barangays in City of Tabuk by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay San Juan accounted for approximately 2.67% of the total population of City of Tabuk, which stood at 121,033 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,785 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,233 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Juan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tabuk is a city comprising 43 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Juan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Kalinga, which contains 153 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Juan ranks 13th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
