Barangay New Isabela

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay New Isabela is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tacurong in Sultan Kudarat, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay New Isabela had a population of 11,818. This made it the 3rd largest of 20 barangays in City of Tacurong by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay New Isabela accounted for approximately 10.81% of the total population of City of Tacurong, which stood at 109,319 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 11,711 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 11,818 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.9%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay New Isabela is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Tacurong is a city comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay New Isabela, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Sultan Kudarat, which contains 249 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay New Isabela ranks 5th by 2020 population. Sultan Kudarat is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay New Isabela is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
