Barangay Apokon

Barangay Apokon is a very large barangay in the City of Tagum, located in the province of Davao Del Norte, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Apokon had a population of 37,984. This made it the 3rd largest of 23 barangays in City of Tagum by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Apokon accounted for approximately 12.82% of the total population of City of Tagum, which stood at 296,202 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Apokon moving from 29,743 residents to 37,984 residents, an intercensal change of +27.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Apokon is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Tagum is a city comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Apokon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
