Barangay Magugpo Poblacion

Barangay Magugpo Poblacion is a mid-sized barangay in the City of Tagum, located in the province of Davao Del Norte, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Magugpo Poblacion had a population of 2,945. This made it the 18th largest of 23 barangays in City of Tagum by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Magugpo Poblacion accounted for approximately 0.99% of the total population of City of Tagum, which stood at 296,202 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,165 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,945 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Magugpo Poblacion is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Tagum is a city comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Magugpo Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
