Barangay Rosario

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Rosario is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tandag in Surigao Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Rosario had a population of 4,385. This made it the 6th largest of 21 barangays in City of Tandag by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Rosario accounted for approximately 7.00% of the total population of City of Tandag, which stood at 62,669 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,262 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,385 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +34.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Rosario is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Tandag is a city comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Rosario, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Surigao Del Sur, which contains 309 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Rosario ranks 23rd by 2020 population.
