Barangay Biga

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Biga is one of the administrative divisions of City of Toledo in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Biga had a population of 3,983. This made it the 25th largest of 38 barangays in City of Toledo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Biga accounted for approximately 1.92% of the total population of City of Toledo, which stood at 207,314 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Biga changed from 3,327 to 3,983, a shift of +19.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Toledo. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Biga as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Toledo is a city comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Biga, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cebu, which contains 1,203 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Biga ranks 233rd by 2020 population.
