Barangay IV (Pob.)

Situated in City of Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Barangay IV (Pob.) is one of 39 barangays that make up the city within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay IV (Pob.) had a population of 2,042. This made it the 8th largest of 39 barangays in City of Vigan by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay IV (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.79% of the total population of City of Vigan, which stood at 53,935 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,349 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,042 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay IV (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Vigan is a city comprising 39 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay IV (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
